Bathtub Refinishing Process in Detail

Bathtub refinishing is a professional restoration process that gives your bathtub a fresh, durable, and like-new finish. Our refinishing procedure follows four essential steps to ensure outstanding quality and long-lasting results.

Step 1 – Cleaning & Surface Preparation

Our technicians arrive with all the required equipment and carefully inspect the bathtub. Any loose debris, old silicone (caulking), or surface imperfections are removed using professional tools. The bathtub is then thoroughly cleaned, wiped down, and prepared using acetone to eliminate dirt, grease, and residue.

Note: We recommend that clients remove all personal belongings from the bathroom before our technicians arrive.

Step 2 – Sanding

Once the surface is completely clean, the bathtub is professionally sanded. Sanding removes the old finish and creates the ideal surface for strong adhesion of the new coating. After sanding, all dust and debris are removed, and the bathtub is rinsed and completely dried before moving to the next stage.

Step 3 – Masking

To achieve a flawless finish, we carefully mask all surrounding areas to prevent overspray. We protect:

  • Floors
  • Walls
  • Shower fixtures
  • Drains
  • Faucets
  • Toilets
  • Sinks
  • Vanities
  • Any nearby surfaces

Professional masking paper and protective cloths ensure a clean, contamination-free work area.

Step 4 – Priming & Spraying

This is the most important stage of the refinishing process. We apply a specialized, durable coating that bonds with the prepared surface, resulting in a smooth, high-gloss finish that looks and feels like a brand-new bathtub.
