Process in Detail
What is Bathtub Refinishing?
Bathtub refinishing is a professional restoration process that renews the surface of your bathtub, sink, or sanitary fixture, giving it a smooth, glossy, and like-new appearance without the cost of replacement.
The refinishing process consists of four essential steps: Cleaning, Sanding, Masking, and Spraying.
Our Refinishing Process
Step 1 – Cleaning & Surface Preparation
Our technicians arrive fully equipped and carefully inspect the bathtub. Any loose debris, old silicone (caulking), bumps, or surface imperfections are removed using professional tools. The surface is then thoroughly cleaned and wiped with acetone to remove dirt, grease, and residue.
Step 2 – Sanding
The bathtub is professionally sanded to remove the old finish and prepare the surface for maximum adhesion. Once sanding is complete, all dust and debris are removed, and the bathtub is rinsed and thoroughly dried.
Step 3 – Masking
To prevent overspray and protect surrounding areas, we carefully mask the entire work area. Protected areas include:
- Floors
- Walls
- Shower fixtures
- Drains
- Faucets
- Toilets
- Sinks
- Vanities
- Nearby surfaces
Professional masking paper and protective coverings ensure a clean, damage-free workspace.
Step 4 – Priming & Spraying
This is the most important stage of the refinishing process. We apply a specialized coating that bonds properly with the prepared surface, providing a smooth, high-gloss finish that looks and feels brand new.
